She was the eldest of eight children, including Hilaria, Delfina, Irma, Froilan, Eva, Juanito, and Ofelia. She was a devoted, godly wife to her late husband, Maximiliano (Nito) Vela. Hijinia is survived by her eight children Max Vela III, Delia Vela Gode, Rigo Vela, Ariel Vela, Quine Vela, Odulia Vela Anthony, Adrian Vela, and Lori Vela, along with six sons and daughters-in-law, 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, all of whom loved and adored their godly matriarch.
