RENTON, Wash. (AP) — The Seattle Seahawks have fielded their fair share of stout defenses over their history, including the dominant “Legion of Boom” from the 2010s. The team had the top scoring defense in the NFL from 2012 to 2015 and the unit helped lead the team to five straight seasons with at least 10 wins, a stretch that included three division titles, two NFC championships and a Super Bowl victory over the Denver Broncos in 2014.

EPHRATA — Columbia Ridge Elementary Music Director Alicia Keegan has been selected to participate in the 2026 Pasadena Rose Parade as part of the Band Directors Marching Band. This ensemble will comprise 350 band directors from across the United States, marching along a 5.5-mile route on January 1, 2026.

New Ephrata tower full, final testing underway

EPHRATA — The long-awaited completion of Ephrata's new water tower is in its final stages, as city officials report that the structure is expected to significantly enhance water pressure and volume throughout the community. Public Works Director Rob Harris confirmed that the new reservoir, which can hold approximately 3.8 million gallons of water, has been fully filled and final tests underway, with hopes of becoming fully operational by the end of the month.
