Roof tiles throughout the main Ephrata High School building have had to be replaced due to water damage caused by a leaky roof. While the district has replaced the tiles pictured, ongoing leaks, even after attempted roof repairs, require a replacement of the roof to prevent further damage and keep the facility safe.

Ephrata High roof to be replaced
EPHRATA — Ephrata High School will be getting a new roof in the coming months after several years of patchwork fixes for ongoing leak issues. The roof had been repaired and gotten a new overlay a bit more than eight years ago, but problems have persisted, prompting the repair. Ephrata School District Assistant Superintendent Aaron Cummings said Thursday that the replacement was a long time coming and will cost somewhere between $2 and $3 million, paid for out of the district’s General Fund.
