The Columbia Basin Herald office hosted a somewhat unique visitor last week, in the form of a bat staff dubbed "Timmy." Timmy was carefully removed from the office and flew off to find another perch to nap in, hopefully away from the smokiness last week saw. Rain is expected off and on throughout this coming week, and we're hopeful for the sake of firefighters that it helps knock down the fires in our area. We're sure Timmy wouldn't mind some cleaner air either.
