The Grant County Fairgrounds has announced it will be suspending riding activities until Dec. 16 after Equine Herpesvirus-1 was found in Washington. No cases have been detected in Grant County as of Tuesday. The suspension may last longer depending on how many cases are in the state by the given date, Fairgrounds Director Jim McKiernan said.

MOSES LAKE — The Grant County Fairgrounds has announced a suspension of all private riding and open riding activities until at least December 16, as a precautionary measure against the ongoing outbreak of Equine Herpesvirus-1 that was initially reported in Waco, Texas.
