The Moses Lake Street Crimes Unit, while conducting a search warrant for methamphetamine sales and illegal firearm possession, arrested six people for a suspected illegal rooster fighting operation on the premises. MLPD Captain Jeff Sursely said there were around 71 modified roosters and over 400 birds on site. There was also a ring built in one of the sheds. Rooster fighting usually involves cruel and painful modification to the birds.
