John Mertlich will take over as the new general manager and CEO of Grant Public Utility District, starting today. Mertlich, who has been with the PUD for seven years, is a Marine Corps veteran with bachelor’s degrees in philosophy and economics, as well as a master's degree in economics from Portland State University.
