K-9 Maverick assisted with gaining probable cause after officers arrested a 39-year-old man for a felony arrest warrant. He was alerted narcotics were present during an exterior search of the vehicle. After a search warrant was obtained, officers found 21 grams of fentanyl powder, 114 fentanyl pills and 41 grams of methamphetamine. This was K-9 Maverick’s 40th deployment with the East Wenatchee Police Department.

39-year-old booked on warrant and controlled substance possession

EAST WENATCHEE — The East Wenatchee Police Department conducted a traffic stop Jan. 6 in the 700 block of Third Street Southeast. Sergeant Tye Sheats recognized the driver of the vehicle and was aware of his outstanding felony arrest warrant in Santa Barbara, California.
