The current Grant County Morgue is part of the soon-to-be-closed Samaritan Hospital building. With that facility closing, the morgue is being relocated to another location in Moses Lake, the city that needs the facility's services most often. A contractor for a new Grant County morgue is scheduled to be selected by late August or early September.

Property purchased for new Grant County Morgue
MOSES LAKE — Construction on a new Grant County morgue is scheduled to start this fall. County officials interviewed possible contractors Aug. 14, with the selection announced in late August or early September. “We would expect to make a decision on a general contractor pretty rapidly,” said Tom Gaines, Grant County Central Services director.
