COULEE CITY — The Almira/Coulee-Hartline Warriors softball team took home two wins when they hosted the Omak Pioneers. In game one they were victorious 10-6. In game two they built on their momentum, winning 11-2 and moving to five wins on the season. The approach to the doubleheader was influenced by the Warriors' loss to Brewster, and Head Coach Faye Butler saw that her players became very motivated. “The next day in practice, the girls were like, ‘We need to practice harder, Coach.’ And I was like, ‘All right, let's practice harder.’ One thing I've been trying to hammer in these girls this year is resilience, so yeah, we got into it, and they were pumped,” she said.
