Eight prescribed burns will be conducted in Washington this spring including one northwest of Ellensburg and south of I-90, which has been dubbed the Plumback Fire, red pin, and will cover about 196 acres.

DNR announces controlled burns
OLYMPIA – The Washington Department of Natural Resources announced eight prescribed burns throughout the state Monday. The eight separate burns will occur over the spring and cover up to 2,580 acres of state trust land.
