A late-night fire at Sun Lakes State Park burned a little over four acres on June 1. A burn ban went into effect on June 1 in Grant County. Area residents are encouraged to be alert and be cautious when enjoying the outdoors to avoid fires and avoid activities that may cause accidental wildfires such as use of fireworks. When driving with a trailer, make sure chains are set so they won’t drag and cause sparks.
