An Adams County Sheriff’s deputy wades through an irrigation canal while searching for evidence in a shooting July 4 near Othello. Adams County Sheriff Dale Wagner said it is important that people do not wade or swim in the canals, as they can be very dangerous. Deputies only entered the water out of necessity in this instance due to the need to gather evidence.
