A dart loaded with carfentanil, a synthetic opiate more potent than fentanyl, and xylazine, a muscle relaxer, and tipped with petroleum jelly, is ready to tranquilize a moose on Jan. 30, 2013 in the Superior National Forest in Minnesota.
