Broncos use strong fourth quarter to overwhelm Adna

SPOKANE — A six-point lead going into the fourth quarter turned into a 15-point win over Adna for the Lind-Ritzville Broncos in the Round of 12 in the 2B Boys State Basketball Tournament. The Broncos outscored the Pirates 17-8 in the fourth quarter, using their depth to keep fresh legs late in the fourth quarter. “That’s kind of what we’ve done to teams lately,” LRS Head Coach Dustan Arlt said. “It seems like they’ve worn out, we’ve got a lot more depth. Picking teams up full-court. At the beginning of the season fourth quarters weren’t always our strong point, but since these 10 or 11 games we’ve been playing four-quarter games and not falling off in the second half.” Sophomore Jayce Kelly finished with 24 points, including converting three of six three-pointers. Senior Hunter Dinkins also finished three of six from three, scoring 11 points in the win. Senior Chase Galbreath scored 14 points in the win.
