Among the successes of the Endangered Species Act is the American Bald Eagle, according to the U.S. Department of the Interior. Republican legislators in Washington D.C. have expressed concerns that, despite such successes, only 3-5% of animals make it off the Endangered Species List, though the USDI says the program has a 99% success rate because most species on the list may still be preserved.
