James Treutle

James Frederick Treutle, 82, of Moses Lake, Washington, was peacefully reunited with his wife of 53 years Judith Ann in the house of the Lord on July 20, 2023. James was born Nov. 22, 1940. He learned to love the outdoors from a very young age growing up in Dayton, Ohio. At the age of 9, James became a golf caddie at a club on the other side of town. He worked hard and gained a reputation as a very good bagman at the time and was selected to caddie in the 1957 PGA Championship at Miami Valley Golf Club in his hometown of Dayton, Ohio. This and many more experiences gave James a true appreciation for the game of golf. He continued his love for the game into his high school years. His senior year in a match against Upper Arlington High he shot 75, his best round ever. But a senior from UAH by the name of Jack Nicklaus shot 64.
