Today is National Pet Fire Safety Day, which can serve as a reminder to pet owners that it’s crucial to be prepared in case of an emergency. The Best Friends Animal Society recommends pet-proofing your home by keeping electrical equipment out of reach, keeping tags and microchips up to date and putting a sticker on your home to let first responders know there are critters inside who may need rescuing.
