The Multi-Agency Communications Center is in the process of upgrading its technology. When 911 systems were first established, they were often just one person manning a landline and informally passing information to first responders. That technology has now changed and involves a rather extensive set of servers. The MACC is looking to move further into the 21st century by utilizing cloud computing solutions and offering the public a chance to report non-emergency situations online through a web portal.
