Local law enforcement agencies - in cooperation with other first responders - have been busy since the initial snow of the season fell a few weeks ago. They have repeatedly asked the public to slow down and use caution on icy roads as accidents, such as the one shown here, have caused injuries and deaths around the Basin in recent weeks, a trend that ties up officers that could be patrolling to prevent crimes. The accident above did not lead to any fatalities, but at least one man was removed from his vehicle using the jaws of life.
