K-9 Deputy Grizzly, pictured with his handler Deputy Dave De La Rosa, is on the mend after having surgery last Wednesday to remove a blockage in his intestine. The blockage was removed by Dr. Jesyka Morrison and the staff at Pioneer Veterinary Clinic in Moses Lake. Vested Interest in K9s, a non-profit organization that provides bullet/stab protective vests to dogs in law enforcement, donated a “Health for K9 Heroes” grant to cover Grizzly’s medical costs.
