Fresh News Report from MarDon Resort
Fall-fishing has begun on the Potholes Reservoir. The fishing has been good for all species. Now is the time to get a mixed bag of perch, crappie, bluegill, walleye, bass and catfish. The Reservoir water level is currently at 1030.10 and will continue to rise at different rates as the weather changes through the first part of fall. As the water rises, the rock piles around Goose Island become less visible — be careful navigating around the dunes and Goose Island. The water temps on the main lake and back in the dunes are in the low-60’s in the morning warming to the upper 60’s by evening.
