The date: Jan. 7 1958. The place: Moses Lake, but exactly where? Kwicky Korner was a well-known location during the 1950s, 60s and 70s. Today many may know the spot, but not know it was once known as Kwicky Korner. We have a few interesting corners or areas where roads converge or meet in Moses Lake. One is Five Corners and another is Kwicky Korner. There is another spot with five corners. Where is it located?

So where was Kwicky Corner? It was, and still is, at the spot where Third Avenue intersects with Broadway. This is a unique intersection, for sure, as two avenues, which were parallel are suddenly at right angles. The actual history of who first recognized this as a suitable spot for a service station is not known. However, the spot was viable for many years.
