The telephone book ad for The Turf in 1966 didnt sell ammunition, but had both a Derby Room and a Jockey Room, plus the name was simply Turf Café and not The Turf Café.

The Turf Café was a city landmark
The Turf Café was a long-standing eatery in Moses Lake. Say, wasn’t there one in Quincy as well? At one time a person could eat a meal, purchase ammunition for hunting, get a haircut and dance the night away in the one building.
