The walleye bite is on at Potholes Reservoir and anglers are taking advantage of it. I got this 19-incher jigging a blade bait, out in the middle above Goose Island. I was fishing with Brian Nielson, BJ's Guide Service.

Fishin' Magician: Dave Graybill
As we move further into spring there are a whole bunch of annual events coming up. The first one is the "April Fools" trout opener in the Columbia Basin when nearly 50 lakes open to trout fishing. Most of these lakes are just south of Potholes Reservoir and offer the best spring fishing in our region.
