Brewers fear proposed FDA rule would spike costs

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Northwest beer brewers have joined a national outcry over a proposed rule from the Food and Drug Administration which they say would make it prohibitively expensive for them to recycle spent grain by providing it to dairy farmers.
