Juan (Johnny as he was known by his friends) O. Lopez, 83, of Moses Lake, Washington, passed away July 27, 2013. He was born in El Rosario, Mexico on October 10, 1929 to parents, Antonio Lopez and Maria Ortiz. He was the eldest of nine siblings. Juan came to the United States when he was nine years old and worked on the various farms. He was married to Manuela Maria Mendez on September 12, 1949 in Edinburg, Texas. Juan continued to work with Harry Yamamoto on his farm until being hired by the City of Warden in 1975. Johnny was respected for his work ethics and willingness to provide services at any hour of the day, especially to perform "snow-plowing." He is honored for his dedicated service on retiring after 18 years in 1993. Juan enjoyed local fishing, playing card games with family, caring for his garden, watching cowboy movies, listening to the weather channel, and meeting his retired friends for coffee at McDonalds. Juan and Manuela Lopez enjoyed 64 years of marriage and had five children together.
