The water temperatures in the "Sand Dunes" are reaching above the 80F mark and the topwater bass fishing is on! Get your topwater ready for some dog days of summer fishing! Frogs and Buzzbaits are working in the Sand Dunes and Floating Rapala's are working wonders along the face of the dam with a 50 Smallmouth day easily possible. Smallmouths pushing 5lbs. are available along the dam and the rockpiles adjacent to them. WDFW Biologists recommend catching and keeping shorter Smallmouth Bass from Potholes Reservoir. Each angler may take 10 Smallmouth Bass with only one over 14".
