A closeup view of the bridge of USS YAKIMA SSN509. The Officer of the Deck and two lookouts stand forward of the periscopes and other antennae and masts. Also visible are the Port side (red) navigational light, the sail planes which control submerged depth, and a portion of the US Flag. The lights and the bronze "screw" (propeller) are electrically operated, as is the Klaxon (the OOOGAH horn used as a diving alarm on submarines).
