Courtesy photo Kaylee Pardee's first fish: During an Aug. 12
camping trip to Scootney Reservoir with Kaylee Pardee and her
mother, along with boyfriend, Brian McGowan, Kaylee caught her
first fish, a nice fat catfish. As Brian relays the story, "At
about 5:30 or so we headed down to the dock to fish. I helped her
put a worm on the line and she wanted to add a shrimp flavored
marshmallow. I cast her line from her Zebco rod and reel for her
and as most 7-year-old kids do, she began to drift away from
watching her rod. I saw a hit and called her back to the rod. She
picked it up and set the hook like a champ. She had a grin ear to
ear when she landed the catfish. When asked about which bait
attracted the fish she said 'it was the shrimp marshmallow that did
it, cat fish love shrimp.'" Nice catch Kaylee.
