Woman arrested after stealing cat at knifepoint

MOSES LAKE — A Moses Lake woman was booked on suspicion of felony harassment – threats to kill after allegedly threatening a man on Patton Boulevard Northeast and stealing his cat.
Hannah Gannon, 21, also was booked on suspicion of obstructing law enforcement and intimidating a public servant, according to Grant County Jail records. Kyle Foreman, public information officer for the Grant County Sheriff's Office said the incident occurred at about 12:45 p.m. Monday in the 8000 block of Patton Boulevard Northeast.
"She robbed him of his cat at knifepoint," Foreman said.
Deputies were on their way to talk with the victim when they saw a woman matching Gannon's description. She fled through a hole in the fence, Foreman said.
She was still carrying the knife and threatened to stab the GCSO deputies when they approached her, Foreman said. They backed away and brought in K9 Storm and his partner Gunnar Hinds.
"They used K9 Storm to track her," Foreman said. "He did not have any contact with her."
Storm tracked her and she was arrested without incident.
The cat was not injured during this incident, according to Foreman.
