Fire District 7 cites teamwork, staffing needs after demanding fire season
Grant County Fire District 7 had a busy wildland fire season with 93 fire incidents so far this year. Chief Erick Brittain said the season went OK with the help of his volunteers, staff and mutual aid partners.

SOAP LAKE — After one of the busiest wildfire seasons in recent memory, Grant County Fire District 7 leaders say the year underscored both the importance of mutual aid partnerships and the need for additional staffing as fire danger across Central Washington continues to increase.
