QUINCY — An Ephrata man was booked into the Grant County Jail Wednesday on suspicion of second-degree burglary and resisting arrest after being sought for alleged burglaries and other offenses committed in the Ephrata and Coulee Dam areas.

Cody Miller, 34, was also booked for attempting to elude law enforcement and two Grant County District Court warrants, said Kyle Foreman, public information officer for the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, in a media release.

“They’ve been looking for him for a bit,” Foreman said in a separate interview.

Miller ran from Quincy Police Department officers Wednesday morning, Foreman said.

“A property owner reported Miller’s vehicle around 10 a.m. in the 16000 block of Road 7.6 Northwest as Miller tried to conceal it from view,” Foreman said. “The vehicle was gone when deputies and Quincy Police arrived at the address

Deputies found him not long afterward, however.

“Around 11:10 a.m., a deputy spotted a pickup answering the description of Miller’s truck on property near the 15000 block of Road 8 Northwest. Deputies surrounded the property, and with the help of Quincy Police and the Moses Lake Police Department K-9, convinced Miller to surrender without further incident,” Foreman said.

Miller was previously convicted of robbing a gas station in Ephrata in 2010, when he was 17, according to Columbia Basin Herald archives. In 2024 he was arrested and booked on charges of second-degree robbery, third-degree theft and fourth-degree assault, and in May 2026 he was arrested and booked for second-degree trespassing. In August of this year he was arrested for littering in an amount greater than one cubic yard.
