Rhonda Alvarado
It is with profound heartbreak that we announce the unexpected passing of our daughter, friend, wife, and mother, Rhonda Alvarado, who passed away Oct. 26, 2026, at age 48. Born in Pendleton, Ore., Oct. 13, 1978, Rhonda moved to Moses Lake at age 4, where she spent the rest of her life.
Rhonda graduated from Moses Lake High School and worked as a legal secretary at the Calbom & Schwab law office until her eldest daughter was born. She married her best friend Dee Ray Alvarado on Oct. 7, 2006, and together they raised their three children. Rhonda was active in the Moses Lake Christian Academy as a para-teacher and a secretary, and enjoyed card games with family and friends, and several video games. Rhonda was known for her wisdom and good godly counseling to friends and family, and she found joy in spending time with those she loved.
She is survived by her parents Roger and Marian, her husband Dee Ray and her three children Blake, Karrigan and Raegan. She is preceded in death by her stepfather Jerry Heilig, several aunts and uncles and her grandparents.
A graveside service will be held on Nov. 9, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. at Guarding Angels Cemetery, Moses Lake, Washington, followed by a memorial service at Moses Lake Presbyterian Church at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow.
