Judy Michael
In loving memory, Judy Margaret Michael, 83, born Sept. 9, 1943, in Colville, Washington, to William and Esther Hedrick, passed away on Oct. 31, 2026, in Moses Lake, Washington.
Judy grew up in Echo Valley alongside her brother, two sisters and many cousins. Her childhood was filled with memories of working on the family farm and playing baseball as a pastime. On Saturday nights, the local farm families would gather together at the Grange Hall, and it was at one of these gatherings that Judy met the love of her life, Henry C. Michael.
She graduated from Colville High School in 1961, and on Oct. 12 of that same year, she and Henry were married. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, family, and adventure. They raised two children, Jeff and Chris. Together, they traveled all over the world; Hong Kong was her favorite place of all. This October, Judy and Henry celebrated an incredible 65 years of marriage.
Judy spent her career working as the school librarian at Larson Heights Elementary School, where she was able to share her love of books and learning with young students.
Judy will be remembered for her warmth, quiet strength, and devotion to her family. She is survived by her loving husband; her children; eight grandchildren; 10 soon to be 11, great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two sisters.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2026, at 1 p.m. at Kayser's Chapel in Moses Lake, Washington, to honor the life of our amazing wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
Memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or Moses Lake Library in Judy's honor.
