More Basin athletes head to the state meets

MOSES LAKE — Track and field athletes from all around the Basin are competing in state track meets this weekend. Here are more athletes who qualified for the championships during their district meets last weekend.  

LIND-RITZVILLE 

Boys 

Damon Schilling, a Lind-Ritzville senior, took third in the 100m with a time of 11.04 and third in the 200m with a time of 22.29. 

The relay team of Leland Bowman, Conner O’Brien, Archer Killian and Damon Schilling took third in the 4x100 with a time of 44.23 and third in the 4x400 with a time of 3:31.66. 

Broncos’ sophomore Archer Killian took second in shot put with a throw if 42’ 11”. 

Jerod Harder, a senior for the Broncos, took third in shot put with a throw of 41’ 10”. 

Brett Cresse, a junior from Lind-Ritzville, took second in long jump with a leap of 20’ 11”. 

Girls 

Saige Galbreath, a senior from the Broncos, took third in shot put with a throw of 32’ 1”. 

Zoe Galbreath, a senior from Lind-Ritzville, took fourth in shot put with a throw of 31’ 6.25” and fourth in the pole vault with a height of 9’ 0”. 

MOSES LAKE HIGH SCHOOL 

Boys 

Mavericks senior Brady Jay took second in the 100m with a time of 11.04 and first in the 200m with a time of 22.05. 

Liam Oshea, a Mavs senior, qualified in the 800m with a time of 1:57.36 to take fourth. 

MLHS junior Colton Lucero finished second in the 3200m with a time of 10:13.03. 

Moses Lake’s 4x100 relay team of Isaac Gordon, Isaac Legault, Elijah Burns and Brady Jay took first with a time of 41.73. 

Taggart Rathbun, a MLHS junior, took third in discus by throwing 151’ 7”. 

Dawson Stuart, a sophomore from the Mavs, placed third in the high jump with a height of 6’ 1”.  

Harrison Holt, a Moses Lake junior, took seventh in high jump with a height of 6’ 1”. 

Lewis Eckenberg, a junior from MLHS, took first in long jump by leaping 22’ 7” and third in triple jump by leaping 44’ 5”. 

Girls 

Lindsey Davis, an MLHS junior, took second in the 100m with a time of 12.51 and second in the 200m with a time of 25.73. 

The relay team of Kamery Char, Lindsey Davis, Miciah Higley and Addy Burns took first in the 4x100 with a time of 48.40 and first in the 4x200 with a time of 1:44.37. 

Addy Burns, a Mavs senior, took second in the high jump with a leap of 5’ 2”. 

Moses Lake senior Baylee Bates took first in the triple jump with a length of 35’ 9.5”. 

Allison Bond, a sophomore from MLHS, took second in the triple jump with a length of 34’ 6.25”. 

ROYAL 

Boys 

Troy McCullough, a sophomore for the Knights, took second in the 400m with a time of 51.61 

Royal sophomore Brycen Fitzhugh took third in the 300m hurdles with a time of 41.88. 

The 4x400 relay team of Troy McCullough, Brycen Fitzhugh, Dax Jenks and Esteban Torres took third with a time of 3:29.45. 

Manny Ruvalcaba, a junior from Royal, took second in high jump with a height of 6’ 0”. 

Girls 

The 4x400 relay team of Rebecca Carlson, Lauren Wardenaar, Maggie Frank and Justine Fitzhugh took first with a time of 4:13.04. 

Maggie Frank, a Knights junior, took third in javelin with a time of 103’ 8”. 

Justine Fitzhugh, a Royal freshman, took third in the triple jump with a length of 34’ 3.75”. 

WAHLUKE 

Boys 

Kobe Corrales, a sophomore for the Warriors, took third in triple jump with a length of 40’ 5”.
