Small fire in Ephrata Friday afternoon
Grant County Fire District 13 and Ephrata Fire Department responded to a wildland fire near Nat Washington Way Friday.

EPHRATA — On Friday, a small fire started near Nat Washington Way in Ephrata, according to Grant County Fire District 13. The Ephrata Fire Department and GCFD13 worked to put out the blaze.
“As we head into Memorial Day weekend, this is an important reminder that conditions are already very dry. The fire spread quickly with very little wind, showing how easily fires can start and grow this time of year,” GCFD 13 wrote in a statement.
