Saturday fire damages Soap Lake residence

SOAP LAKE — Firefighters check equipment at the scene of a house fire in Soap Lake early Saturday afternoon. The fire heavily damaged the house, located near the intersection of Daisy Street North and First Avenue North, said Tim Babak, Grant County Fire District 7 captain.  

The fire was reported at about 11:30 a.m. Saturday. Fire crews were on the scene most of the day. Crews from Grant County Fire District 13, Ephrata Fire Department and Grant County Fire District 3 also responded to the fire.
