Grant County home prices 8th lowest in the state

MOSES LAKE — Grant County had the eighth-lowest median home price in Washington’s 39 counties as of March 5, according to data released March 13 by real estate website Realtor.com. Adams County ranked fifth from the lowest. 


The median listing price in Grant County was $411, 650, according to the Realtor.com data, a decrease of 0.91% from February nut up 0.65% year-over year. Adams County’s median price was $374,450, an increase of 4.47% month-over-month and 3.35% from a year ago. 


The highest median home price in Washington was in San Juan County, at $1.24 million. Garfield County had the lowest price, and $221,250. 


The average price per square foot in Adams County was $210, ranking at the fifth-lowest in the state. Grant County prices per square foot averaged $249, ranking it 11th in the state.  


There were 311 active listings in Grant County on March 5, according to the data, down 1.43% from February but up 8% from March 2025. Adams County had 49 listings available, a decrease of 7.5% from February and an increase of 47% year-over-year.  


Grant County ranked 16th when it came to the number of days a home spent on the market, at 88 days. Adams County homes spent an average of 116 days on the market, ranking 10th in the state. The fastest-selling homes were in Snohomish County, at 32 days, and the slowest were in Garfield County, at 159 days on the market. 


The average 30-year fixed-rate mortgage interest rate was 6.22% Wednesday, up from 6.11% a week ago, according to Freddie Mac. Still, that figure represented a 6.74% decrease from a year ago, when the rate was 6.67%. The 15-year mortgage interest rate was 5.54% Wednesday, up from 5.5% last week but down from 5.83% last year. 


“Even after three weeks of increases, mortgage rates are still … at their lowest levels since 2022,” said Realtor.com analyst Jake Krimmel in a video posted to the website. “That can translate into real savings for buyers compared to years past.”
