EPHRATA — The reports below were provided by the Ephrata Police Department. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. 

March 20 

26EP0666: C St. SW. 9:54 a.m. A welfare check was requested after a student had not attended school for three days. 

26EP0667: H St. SE. 10:15 a.m. Verbal domestic reported; caller said subject was breaking items and arguing. Verbal only. 

26EP0669: 4th Ave NW. 11:53 a.m. Caller reported possible drug use after an intoxicated‑appearing student fled campus. 

26EP0670: D St. SE. 12:12 p.m. Caller reported a barking dog; officers checked area and heard no barking. 

26EP0673: Location not listed. 5:18 p.m. Caller reported trespassing; determined to be a contract/membership dispute.  

26EP0675: SR‑282. 7:21 p.m. Erratic driver arrested for DUI; cited and released to parent. 

26EP0676: Enterprise St. 8:06 p.m. Reported hit‑and‑run; suspect had a warrant and was taken into custody.  

March 21 

26EP0679: Rd B.5 NE. 1:04 a.m. Caller said he hit his wife in self‑defense during a domestic disturbance; caller arrested for domestic violence. 

26EP0680: West 4th Ave. 8:11 a.m. Caller turned in a student backpack. 

26EP0681: Rd A.5 NW. 9:12 a.m. Assisted GCSO with a suspected burglary; determined to be a civil matter. 

26EP0683: Location not listed. 1:26 p.m. School reported an incident that had already been resolved; administrative documentation only. 

26EP0684: E St. NE. 2:41 p.m. Caller reported daughter threatened self‑harm; welfare response requested. 

26EP0687: F St. NE. 7:45 p.m. Caller reported neighbor yelling at them with a megaphone. Suspect continued after police left; case number issued. 

26EP0688: J St. SE. 8:13 p.m. Welfare check requested on children. Children found safe; no order violation. 

26EP0689: Basin Street SW. 10:07 p.m. Report of erratic driving; driver found not intoxicated.  

March 22 

26EP0694: Dodson Rd. 11:33 a.m. Assisted GCSO with welfare check. 

26EP0695: Nat Washington Way. 12:48 p.m. Theft in progress; suspect contacted and booked for Burglary 2nd Degree. 

26EP0696: Location not listed. 3:52 p.m. Missouri State Patrol requested assistance with a fatality notification. 

26EP0698: Sunset St. SE. 5:24 p.m. Caller reported theft of a package worth about $5. 

26EP0699: 16th Ave SW. 6:03 p.m. Caller reported her son throwing a tantrum; no injuries or property damage.  

26EP0700: Basin St. SW. 9:10 p.m. Caller could not find his mother; later contacted police and stated she was found safe. 

March 23 

26EP0703: Division Ave E. 5:31 a.m. Officers assisted another agency during a power outage in the southeast sector. A cable was down in the roadway, and officers directed traffic until PUD flaggers arrived. 

26EP0702: Ivy St SE. 5:31 a.m. Caller reported a possible burglary after a relative believed someone was breaking into a garage. Officers determined everything was fine.  

26EP0704: Basin St SW. 1:22 p.m. Caller reported a theft, a man walked out carrying unpaid items. Officers were unable to locate him. 

26EP0707: Location not listed. 4:40 p.m. A dementia patient walked away from the hospital. Staff located him a short distance away and escorted him back. 

26EP0708: Location not listed. 5:21 p.m. Caller reported another vehicle parked too close, preventing safe backing.  

26EP0709: Location not listed. 9:06 p.m. A verbal disturbance occurred after two individuals argued over their sons’ school issues. When police arrived, one individual briefly had to be detained for erratic behavior. No crime was committed. 

26EP0710: Basin St SW. 10:46 p.m. Two‑vehicle collision reported. Both vehicles had reportable damage. The second driver was transported to the hospital by EMS. 

March 24 

26EP0711: Road 17.6 NW. 5:58 a.m. A caller reported a vehicle parked on his property. The driver stated he was looking for a house on the street via the wrong entrance. 

26EP0712: Nat Washington Way. 9:50 a.m. Loss prevention reported a suspect pushing a cart full of stolen items out of the store and fleeing. Quincy PD later located the suspect, who admitted to the theft and was booked.  

26EP0713: D Street SE. 10:13 a.m. Report of a barking dog. Officer monitored the area for 10 minutes and heard no barking. 

26EP0714: Location not listed. 11:20 a.m. Caller believed he overpaid for a vacuum cleaner from a door‑to‑door salesman. He canceled his check and plans to return the vacuum. 

26EP0715: 4th Ave NW. 12:17 p.m. Caller reported a previously trespassed student back on campus. The student was contacted off-site; later determined the student had never been formally trespassed. 

26EP0717: D Street SE. 12:39 p.m. Caller reported a vehicle partially blocking a driveway. The vehicle was tagged for 24‑hour removal. 

26EP0719: 3rd Ave NW. 1:34 p.m. Caller reported two fraudulent charges on her account. Caller requested a case number for her bank.  

26EP0718: Parkside Place. 2:06 p.m. Caller reported a dog chased a child after jumping out of a vehicle. No barking or growling observed.  

26EP0720: Railroad Ave. 3:44 p.m. Caller reported receiving a text message in an attempted Department of Licensing scam demanding payment to avoid registration issues. 

26EP0721: Road H NW. 4:04 p.m. Caller claimed his wife was missing and possibly in the woods. Determined caller is a dementia patient; wife was contacted and confirmed she was safe. 

26EP0722: Nat Washington Way SE. 4:10 p.m. A female suspect attempted to leave store without paying for items. She was trespassed and a Theft 2nd report will be filed. 

26EP0723: Ephrata PD Lobby. 7:47 p.m. Caller turned in a black smartwatch found at Lions Park. Logged as found property. 

26EP0724: Highway 282. 11:45 p.m. Single‑vehicle rollover crash. WSP and GCSO arrived first and arrested the driver for DUI. EPD completed the collision investigation; DUI handled by GCSO.
