Moses Lake Firefighters quickly contain Ivy Avenue House Fire
The Moses Lake Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the 1000 block of Ivy Avenue Monday afternoon. The fire was determined to be accidental and originated in the kitchen where it was quickly contained and extinguished.

MOSES LAKE — At approximately 1 p.m. Monday afternoon, firefighters from Moses Lake Fire Department Stations 1 and 2 responded to a reported structure fire in the 1000 block of Ivy Avenue.
According to a press release, upon arrival, crews encountered a significant amount of smoke coming from the front door and eaves of the residence. Firefighters made entry, quickly located and extinguished the fire in the room of origin, preventing further spread throughout the home.
The release stated that the fire was determined to be accidental in nature and originated in the kitchen. No injuries were reported. Damage to the home is estimated to be between $50,000 and $100,000.
