‘A pathway to success’
Students across the Columbia Basin struggle with stable housing; however, under the federal McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act, those students are guaranteed immediate school enrollment, transportation and access to other services. The goal, according to local school officials, is to ensure the students have equitable access to education.
