Warden collision leads to minor injuries

WARDEN — Warden city officials are reminding residents that motorcycle use is restricted within city limits after a 10-year-old sustained minor injuries in a crash Saturday morning. 

A car was turning right from South Adams Avenue at about 11:30 a.m. when the child, riding a small camp bike, ran into the car’s front end. There were minor injuries, according to a press release from the Warden Police Department. The child was wearing a Department of Transportation-approved helmet. 

“Motorcycles of any kind cannot be operated on the roadway unless the motorcycle is street legal and properly licensed. The operator of a motorcycle must have a valid motorcycle endorsement and driver's license, along with a DOT-approved helmet and other required safety equipment,” the release said. “Pocket bikes, camp bikes, dirt bikes, and other off-road style motorcycles are not permitted to be operated on the street at any time.”
