MOSES LAKE — A Moses Lake man was booked on suspicion of first-degree assault after he allegedly pointed a replica firearm at a person near his residence.

David Johnson, 63, was booked after he allegedly pointed the replica, which was a CO2 pistol, at a tow truck operator who was trying to jump-start a vehicle, according to a release from the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident occurred at the Harvest Manor mobile home park on Airway Drive.

Sheriff’s Office deputies surrounded Johnson’s residence, and he surrendered without incident, the GCSO release said. The replica firearm and a knife were found inside the residence.
