Francisco (Frank/Kiko) Martinez Gamez
Francisco (Frank/Kiko) Martinez Gamez, 90, was welcomed into eternal glory on Saturday, June 13, 2026. He was surrounded by his loving family on a beautiful sunny day. Viewing will begin at 10 a.m., and the service will begin at 11 a.m. June 22 at Restore City Church. Interment will be at Guarding Angels Cemetery.
Frank was born Nov. 13, 1935, in Crystal City, Texas, to Reyes Gamez and Eva Martinez-Gamez. In 1959 he met Alicia (Alice) Herrera and they immediately fell in love. Two years after dating they knew they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together and were married on March 24, 1961. They then began their life together and relocated to Moses Lake, Washington, where they worked as migrant farm workers in addition to an adult agency caring for elders.
God blessed them with four children starting with Rosa Maria Gamez, Francisco Gamez Jr., Deborah Gamez and Ricardo Gamez. After they were blessed with their four kids, Alice ensured the kids were taken care of at home while Frank worked as a custodian from 1978 to 1998 at Knolls Vista Elementary.
Hsi wife Alice accepted Jesus Christ as her lord and savior while attending the Sendero De La Cruz Church. Alice was a prayer warrior and continuously prayed for her husband until God answered her prayers and Frank surrendered his life to Jesus. Frank and Alice were active church members at Sendero De La Cruz until God called them to the Assembly of God Church, now known as Generations Church.
In August of 1998, his daughter Rosa passed away; Frank continued to trust the Lord and his faith never wavered. On Sept. 9, 2014 (on his daughter Rosa's birthday) his wife Alice of 52 years joined his daughter in glory and his faith never wavered. Frank continued to trust in the Lord with all of his heart and did not lean on his own understanding. He was a man built on faith and family and instilled the teachings of Jesus Christ in his loved ones and those he came in contact with. Frank was a strong Christian man who believed in the power of prayer and was always praying for others no matter how small or big the need. When Frank was diagnosed with his illness he continued to trust in the Lord and his faith never wavered. Proverbs 3: 5-6.
During his downtime, Frank enjoyed being outside, taking care of his yard and watering his roses. What he loved most recently was spending quality time with his family in the living room, backyard barbecues, going out to eat and watching football.
He was preceded in death by his mother Eva Gamez, father Reyes Gamez, daughter Rosa Maria Gamez, wife Alicia Herrera Gamez, mother-in-law Feliz Herrera, nephew Mario Alberto Hernandez, sister Maria Hernandez, nephew Rolando Lopez and brother Isaac Gamez.
Frank is survived by his three children Frank Gamez Jr., Deborah Gamez Molina (Carlos) and Ricardo Gamez and grandchildren Ricardo Reyes Gamez (Jaylynn, Leyla), Carlos Molina Jr. and Rosa Mariah Molina.
