Placid in appearance, but canals can be a deathtrap
Local officials from the Columbia Basin Irrigation District, Quincy-Columbia Basin Irrigation District and Grant County Sheriff's office want to remind residents that irrigation canals are not safe for recreation and should be approached with caution.
