Level 3 evacuation notices issued for fire northwest of Quincy
Level 3 evacuation notices have been issued for a section of Road T Northwest near Quincy, and a section of SR 28 is closed due to a wildire.

UPDATE, 6:30 p.m.: The Level 3 evacuation notice for the area of Road T Northwest has been downgraded to a Level 2. People who live in that area should be ready to leave. State Route 28 remains closed between White Trail Road, about five miles west of Quincy, and Crescent Bar Road.

QUINCY — A Level 3 evacuation notice has been issued for a section of Road T Northwest near Quincy due to a fast-moving wildfire. The evacuation notice is in effect for the area west of Road T NW to the Douglas County line. State Route 28 has been closed in the area of Crescent Bar and Trinidad due to the same fire, according to a notification from the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.
A Level 3 notice means residents are asked to evacuate immediately. The evacuation notices were issued at about 5 p.m.
Drivers are being asked to avoid the area, about five miles west of Quincy, and find alternate routes.
The fire started at about 3:30 p.m. on the north side of SR 28. Grant County Fire District 3 officials have asked for additional aid from fire agencies throughout the county.
