Suds N' Sun draws crowds despite fireworks cancellation
Long-time volunteers Nels Borg (left) and Kayleen Bryson (right) were chosen by the Soap Lake Chamber of Commerce as the Suds N’ Sun grand marshall’s this year. Chamber of Commerce President Karen Woodhouse said they were chosen because of their active leadership and volunteerism in the community for the past two decades.

SOAP LAKE — A bunch of residents and visitors gathered in Soap Lake over the Fourth of July weekend for the annual Suds N' Sun celebration, enjoying a packed schedule of community activities that included a parade, car show, basketball tournament, vendors and family activities.
