MOSES LAKE — The body of a Federal Way man who disappeared while he was swimming in Moses Lake Saturday was recovered from the lake Tuesday morning, according to a media release from the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.

Jaime Lazaro Ticorralco, 40, was reported missing on Saturday; he was last seen about 1 p.m. swimming near the Moses Lake Sand Dunes. Sheriff’s deputies started searching for him on Saturday, after his companions said they couldn’t find him. They were uncertain whether he was missing or with other people on Saturday, said Kyle Foreman, GCSO public information officer, in an earlier interview.

Ticorralco’s car was found nearby, unoccupied and with his phone still inside. A missing person report was filed Sunday, and deputies began searching the lake Sunday. The search was continued Monday with no results and resumed Tuesday morning.

Volunteers from the Grant County Sheriff’s Office found Ticorralco while they were searching the shoreline Tuesday morning, Foreman told the Columbia Basin Herald.

The Grant County Coroner's Office will be conducting an autopsy to determine the cause of death, Foreman said.

He expressed gratitude to the personnel from other agencies and community residents who helped in the search.
