Highlights from summer 2026

MOSES LAKE — Local athletes have been keeping the summer exciting as they test their skills under the hot sun. Here are some highlights from June 2026.

    An angler pulls a largemouth bass out of the water at Potholes Reservoir during the Bass Angler Magazine Pro-Am Bass Tourney. During this tournament, amateur anglers teamed up with professionals to try and catch the most weight within the catch limit.
 
 
    Shea Stevenson from Royal gives a thumbs up to the sideline during the All-State football game in June. Stevenson competed alongside fellow basin athletes, Miguel Zuniga from Othello and Calvin Lybbert from Ephrata to represent Eastern Washington and won 36-6 over the west.
 
 
    The competition was fierce at the Sage N Sun 3-on-3 basketball tournament in Ephrata. Athletes of all ages, from youth to adults, took to the court to battle for a championship title while having fun with the community.
